Process - 

 Before starting the process, you may need some accessories that will help you to cut a groove in the wood. Those are-

Let’s start the process.

At first, place the wood that you want to cut a groove. Then, use the spacer for making the area and limit the movement of the saw. The spacer will make sure that you cut the groove of your desire and also reduce the wastages of wood. Now, mark the area that you want to cut. You may ask, why you need a pencil mark while cutting the groove. 

But, when you will start to cut, the exact point may move away. That will create the hassle. So make a mark point on the cutting area, that will give you the exact point that you want to cut. A pencil mark will give you the perfect measure of the groove that you want. Before a final cut, let’s start with an initial cut. Place the router where you just want to cut. Lock the marker point with the router and start the router. 

To cut the wood for the first time, use the spacer under the main wood. When you will be finished with the initial cut, then go for the final cut. Now, you can remove the spacers and cut the same place on the wood until you get the smooth results. 

Now you are finished with cutting a groove in the wood. There might remain some work that you need to finish. To adjust the groove in the wood you can use the hammer and the chisel. Also, for a perfect and smooth shape use sandpaper. The sandpaper will get rid of the defect from the bottom side of the wood. 

To cut a groove in the wood with the router is an easy and faster way than any other piece of equipment. Make sure you have the perfect blade for the router. Otherwise, you might be unable to cut a perfect groove. Also, be safe while cutting the groove in the wood. A sharp blade can occur in an accident if you don’t hold it precisely. Though the router makes the work easy but if you are not careful enough then the work may be dangerous for you.  There is many wood router available that can help you with the cut a groove.
